Seedball

Seedball

London, London

Created by conservation scientists, Seedball offers a new twist on an ancient technique for increasing seed germination rates - helping to fill gardens & balconies with native wildflowers, bees & butterflies.Wildflowers are naturally slow to germinate, & so loosely scattered seed is often eaten by ants & birds. Seedball solves this problem by encasing the seed in a protective ball of clay, compost & chilli. They're incredibly easy to use - simply scatter on top of soil or compost & nature will do the rest! Once sufficient rain permeates the clay, the seed inside will begin to germinate - helped along by the nutrients & minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder continues to deter slugs & snails while the seed ball slowly degrades & the seeds sprout. The delightful tin packages appeal to gift-givers, non-expert gardeners & to people who are keen to support their back-garden wildlife. *2017 Gift of the Year winner* *As seen on Channel 4's 'Buy it Now' Episode 13*
