Cluck Cluck! designs are drawn by Suffolk based artist, Victoria Hall, who studied painting at University of Northumbria then an M.A. at Chelsea College of Art & Design. Victoria set up Cluck Cluck! in 2010 after returning to her Suffolk.
“I lived on a farm in Suffolk with a number of hens, geese and several fine cockerels. These animals were part of the family and I would often sketch them. They proved popular so, on returning to Suffolk, I created a range of prints and cards with chickens and Cluck Cluck! was hatched. The range has now extended to include other birds and an extensive range of homewares, cards and kitchen textiles. The collection is on cream, with black line drawing and occasional colour"
The birds are sketched from life, drawn in black Indian ink, from which a print is made then feathers are delicately added, giving a sense of texture and a little colour to the image. The feathers are carefully sourced using colours that compliment contemporary interiors.
