When Summerhall Distillery opened its doors in 2014, we became the first exclusive gin distillery to be established in Edinburgh for over 150 years. Our unique distillery is built on the site of an old animal hospital, part of the former Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. It's here that we distil, bottle, label, wax, and ship our award winning gin. Pickering’s Gin is based on an original Bombay recipe, handwritten on a fragment of paper dated 17 July 1947. Kept as a family secret for over 66 years, it only resurfaced when we (Matt and Marcus) began distilling at Summerhall. Pickering’s comes in three delicious bottlings as well as the occasional limited edition. All of them spectacularly smooth and beautifully balanced. Perfect for all social animals.
