We are looking for two new recruits to join our team here in Harrogate. We need an experienced Sales Executive and a creative Marketing Manager who will both bring energy, commitment, dedication, new ideas and a 'work hard, play hard' attitude to their role.

Building on what has been created so far since the business started two years ago, these roles offer the right candidates an opportunity to join a fast moving, rapidly growing businesses. Sales Executive

Experienced and self-motivated sales executive required

The Great British Exchange is the trade destination for British made products. Over the past two years we have built a multi-sided online platform that enables retailers to search and buy thousands of different British made products, supplied by British producers from all over the UK.

We are now looking for a dedicated, motivated and experienced sales person to manage our key customer accounts and develop new relationships with key, targeted customers.

Our customers are based all over the UK and range from independent retailers to large high street department store chains.

We need someone to join our team, based in Harrogate, who will bring energy and experience to their role and who will enjoy developing their areas of responsibilities, adding value to a rapidly growing business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying key target customers
  • Introducing The Great British Exchange to new customers and building relationships
  • Developing key accounts and maintaining key customer relationships

Key duties will include:

  • Making appointments to visit key customers
  • Making appointments for key customers to visit our showroom
  • Calling customers over the phone to introduce The Great British Exchange
  • Achieving set targets which will include sales and new retailer sign ups
  • Liaising with marketing to develop sales promotions
  • Attending trade shows and driving visitors to our stand

Key attributes

  • Competent with Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiar with CRM systems
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Self-starter who enjoys achieving targets
  • Experience in previous sales roles
  • Full Driving Licence

Marketing & Design Manager

Experienced and dynamic marketing and design manager required

The Great British Exchange is the trade destination for British made products. Over the past two years we have built a multi-sided online platform that enables retailers to search and buy thousands of different British made products, supplied by British producers from all over the UK.

We are now looking for a talented marketer who has a good understanding and application of design skills to join our team in Harrogate.

Our business requires an energetic person full of ideas as to how we can engage with our customers and key stakeholders, who is experienced in below-the-line mechanics and has understanding of how to interpret and adhere to brand standards and guidelines.

Experience using design software such as Photoshop is required as well as the ability to strategically engage with the company’s social media channels.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • The planning and delivering of a sales promotions calendar
  • Integrating sales promotions activity with company communication channels
  • Content management of the website in regards to marketing activity

Key duties will include:

  • Working with the Sales Manager to create and implement sales promotions which target key customers and drive traffic to the website
  • Creating, executing and analysing email marketing campaigns
  • Using social media to engage target customers with our products and services
  • Working with the PR and Events Manager to create marketing collateral for key events/campaigns
  • Managing and executing the key marketing messages for the website

Key attributes

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Brand marketing experience
  • Educated to degree standard in marketing / design principles
  • Able to use Microsoft Office applications, Photoshop and have some knowledge of website content management
  • Experienced executing campaigns across digital media
