We are hiring – Web Content Manager

The Great British Exchange is a business-to-business marketplace for retailers, promoting the best British made products. We are now looking for a Web Content Manager to join our exciting and growing business.

This key role requires a creative, organised and experienced web content manager who is passionate about all things digital, has an obsession for detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

As Web Content Manager you will be responsible for leading the development and management of content displayed on the GBE website - delivering engaging digital experiences for customers.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the development of on-site content and driving the performance of this content to agreed KPIs. You will use your proven knowledge and techniques to dramatically enhance the ‘user experience’ and drive online conversion.
  • Ensuring all content (including product branding, imagery, product copy and tone of voice) is consistent with the GBE brand values
  • Developing content in collaboration with the Digital Communication Coordinator and web-development team.
  • Working with the Managing Director to ensure GBE requirements can be delivered to agreed specifications and timescales
  • Working as part of a cross-functional team to deliver marketing campaigns.
  • Working with digital coordinator to monitor campaign performance and making recommendations for optimising content to improve performance against agreed KPIs

You will have…

  • At least 3 years’ proven experience of managing effective digital content
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills
  • A solid understanding of, and passion for, a broad range of digital disciplines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience of managing a set of complex stakeholders, preferably with third parties and client organisations
  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and experience with popular content management systems, ideally including AEM
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop skills
  • Basic Photography skills
  • Passion, integrity and energy
  • Degree educated

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00 – £30,000/year
