Matt Hopkins, Managing Director of The Great British Exchange will be hosting a case study, with professional chef Tom Kerridge as part of Harrogate Home and Gift Buyer’s Festival’s, Great Northern Retail Forum.
On Monday 18th July, the pair will be telling the story behind their new range of British made cook and homeware range. For the first time ever, visitors to the show will be able to learn about the inspiration behind the range and why the range has been exclusively produced in conjunction with British manufacturers.
The range, which includes knives, textiles, ceramics, wood, enamelware and pans is being launched at the show and as a premium collection of products; provides retailers with an exceptional opportunity to share in the passion and heritage of British manufacturing.
“When the opportunity was presented to take part in The Great Northern Retail Forum we knew it was the perfect setting in which to talk to retailers about the new Tom Kerridge range. I’m really excited to share the story of the range, from how we’ve used Denim Micarta in the unique handles of the knives to the hand finishing techniques used in the production of the enamelware, this really is a range everyone from the makers to the end users can be proud of. We have worked closely with Tom to create an honest collection of products which celebrates Tom’s knowledge as a professional chef as well as what can be achieved by master craftspeople in the UK,” said Matt Hopkins.
With knives being made in Sheffield, textiles and enamelware coming from Lancashire, wood products from London, ceramics from Shrewsbury and pans from Birmingham, the new Tom Kerridge range brings together skills and crafts from all over the UK.
“I’m so proud to be a part of this incredible project encapsulating and helping to drive forward Great British manufacturing from all around the UK. Everybody involved have the same beliefs and understanding of what the products should represent. Quality, functionality, longevity, and above all else, British” said Tom Kerridge.
Matt and Tom will be sitting down at 1.30pm on Monday 18th July at The Great Northern Retail Forum. Tom will then be visiting The Great British Exchange’s stand, DP2-35 where the full range will be displayed and visitors can purchase a signed copy of Tom’s book, “Tom’s Table”.
