As part of our mission to make life easier for garden centre buyers who want to stock more British homewares and gifts we’re delighted to welcome John Hinde to the growing team at The Great British Exchange.
John has been working with garden centre retailers for many years and joins us from firebowl brand Kadai where he was sales manager.
John has already told us how excited he is about the innovative UK brands we work with, which he believes will really appeal to garden centre shoppers and help stores diversify into quality home and giftware with a focus on buying British.
By giving them access to products that they don’t always get to see we can become a supplement to their normal buying strategies, offering a one stop solution where they can mix their choice across multiple brands.
John said: “I am looking forward to exploring ways of merchandising goods in store and making life easier for busy buyers who, in these uncertain times, need exciting products to increase their footfall and further their sales.
“The concept really excites me and, with the current range of beautiful British-produced items growing daily, we are in a position to tailor selections to the individual garden centre and change them throughout the season, catering for special occasions and swapping low performing brands to maximise sales.”
Here at The Great British Exchange we already have a strong working relationship with a number of garden centres including Dobbies. John’s experience in this sector will help us make life easier for retailers by saving them buying time and giving them a single point of contact for a varied and exciting product range from both established and up and coming British designers and manufacturers.
