Great Taste Awards, the world’s most coveted blind-tasted food awards celebrating the very best in food and drink, has awarded one of The Great British Exchange's producer's, Nauteas, a 2-star Great Taste award for its aromatic chai blend - Don’t Make Me Cycle to India.
Nauteas is a young UK tea brand which was designed and developed by founder Katia Sokolskaya to introduce new and exciting blends to the most traditional of tea markets. Blending high quality tea leaves, herbs, fruit and spices, Nauteas presents inspiring flavours to discerning foodies.
The award-winning blend, Don’t Make Me Cycle to India, was inspired by Katia’s many trips to India, the conversations over a hot cup of chai tea and the aromas of delicious whole Indian spices. The tea combines cardamom-roasted Darjeeling tea and warming spices such as cinnamon, ginger and cloves.
“Winning a Great Taste Award is a fantastic honour and a great acknowledgement of the inspiring flavours we aim to introduce with our teas. Tea is finally shedding its traditional image and entering a new and exciting age of innovation and experimentation. We will be delighting our customers with refreshing new blends in the months to come” commented Katia Sokolskaya.
"We're delighted for Katia and her fantastic 'Don't Make Me Cycle To India' tea. Nauteas is a fantastic brand with huge potential and achieving two stars from the Great Taste Awards is great reward for this brilliant product. We're really excited to be working with Katia and we're looking forward to helping her grow her tea business," said Matthew Hopkins, MD The Great British Exchange.
There were 10,000 Great Taste entries this year with just 10% receiving two stars or more from the judges. Retailers looking to purchase Nauteas - Don't Make Me Cycle To India and other teas from the range can log in now to The Great British Exchange and search SKU 505976.
